I’m not sure how I managed to leave out widget support for the last three themes I’ve designed. Wordpress has had widget support for as long as I can remember. I’ve even written a few of them myself. Most notably is Future Posts (Available on TehDevs.net). It is a widget which displays the titles of posts that aren’t published and list them by author. This helps keep your readers out of the dark with what is upcoming. Anyways, I guess I was just shocked I didn’t have widget support. Now, instead of posting the archives on a separate page I now have a simple drop down menu for the archives. The same goes for the links page I had previously. It may be me, but I like the menu on the top navigation bar to have as few as possible sections.
