I finally broke down and purchased a new pair of shoes. However, it was a more have to than a want to situation. Since I’ve been staying at my brother’s house looking for work I’ve been using his treadmill nearly every day and my ankles are telling me what they think about it. Little did I know what shoes you wear while running actually makes a difference. My current pair of athletic shoes are older than I can remember and have very little of the tread left on them.
My brother was also looking for a pair of shoes so I could take advantage of the buy one get one 50% off deal. Those deals hide much in the fine print. I apparently grabbed a box of shoes with a green sticker on it and didn’t qualify for the “store-wide” deal. I say foul, but what can I do. The shoes were comfortable.
